An insight and an outlook – The window to the world!
Flooded with light, the museum is housed in an extraordinarily striking building. Located right on the B30, the main road between Ulm and Lake Constance, it immediately catches the eye.
Architecturally, the museum complex consisting of two building sections is modelled on one vertical and one horizontal caravan window. The majestic glass surfaces allow visitors to get a glimpse of the exhibition even from a distance. At night in particular, the exhibits glitter and sparkle in all their glory. From inside, the visitor has a view of Bad Waldsee and can even see as far as the Alps on a clear day.
In addition to the permanent exhibition spanning 6,000 m², the spacious architecture also has room for events and exhibitions that require up to 1,500 m² of space.
The museum building is surrounded by a wide expanse of open land.
